3 March 2025Betronic primarily works with and for clients who aim to make the world a better place—for example, by developing more energy-efficient and less polluting devices, or by offering solutions that positively impact people’s well-being. Our employees share this passion with our clients and are intrinsically motivated to contribute. Betronic feels like a warm bath, characterized by a strong sense of humanity and very low staff turnover. Caring for the world and using our resources responsibly comes naturally to Betronic. Our clients were also increasingly approaching us with questions about ESG, which is why we started working on it over a year ago. We began by gaining a better understanding of our own CO2 footprint and have taken some initial steps toward policy, implementation, and improvement. Additionally, we entered into a two-year partnership with UNICEF to support a meaningful initiative in Africa focused on education and creating a cleaner world. This first ESG annual report is an important milestone for Betronic, allowing us to more clearly demonstrate what we stand for. It helps us engage in meaningful dialogue—both internally and externally—about sustainable growth. It also supports us in maintaining our focus on reducing our footprint. Betronic will be showcasing at Eurobike 2024 with a booth of its own.

Betronic presents its Connected E-Drive at the B2B FESTIVAL.
7 February 2024AMSTERDAM – Betronic, the Dutch developer of electronic products, is bringing its own Connected E-Drive system to the B2B FESTIVAL. This trade fair will take place in Den Bosch on February 25 and 26, 2024. The Betronic system will be showcased on a custom-developed demonstration bike. With over 15 years of experience in the e-bike industry, Betronic is a true expert in e-bike technology. This bike, which they’ll be showcasing at their booth, is equipped with Betronic components such as a compact 60Nm mid-drive motor with an integrated motor controller, a display, a button unit, and an IoT module,” says Sales Manager Laura Meuwese. “The new E-Drive system has a modular design, making it easy to tailor to specific customer needs.” The user experience and riding behavior can be easily customized to meet the specific needs of the target audience. Phatfour Connected makes fatbikes insurable again.
25 January 2024Phatfour has introduced a new anti-theft service: Phatfour Connected. With this service, Phatfour fatbikes are once again insurable. Thanks to a built-in tracker, the bike can always be located via an app—and what’s innovative for this segment is that, in the event of theft, the motor can be remotely disabled. Betronic, the existing supplier of Phatfour’s motor controller, made this innovation possible by: • Developing the new, innovative IoT module • Designing and implementing the communication between the motor controller and the IoT module To offer a complete solution to both the bike manufacturer and the end user, Betronic collaborates with partners ConneqTech / AXA IN Connect and KPN.
